I had an incredible experience preparing, then presenting a presentation on jazz and the rhythm section instruments for pre-K students at the Corpus Christi School in Harlem. I am pictured here with my lovely team and the Associate Director of the Jazz Arts Department at MSM, Chris Rosenberg.
Jenny Xu Trio at Frankie's
Very proud to share that I’ve headlined twice now, alongside my trio, at Frankie’s Jazz Club in Vancouver. Two of the pictures are from my CD release gig (white dress) and the other two are from the Chick Corea Tribute I did awhile back.
The two gentlemen pictured with me are André Lachance (bassist) and Bernie Arai (drummer). They used to coach at a lot of the camps I attended as a high schooler, so getting to work with them in recent years has been a dream come true!
These photos, along with many others on my website, were taken by photographer-extraordinaire, Vince Lim.

Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra
Here are some pictures, taken during performances, of the Manhattan School of Music Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra. Recently, we were named the best Latin Group in the 41st Annual Downbeat Student Music Awards.

Duo with Ambrose Akinmusire
This was taken after I had the immense pleasure and privilege of playing with my favourite trumpet player of all time: Ambrose Akinmusire.
Ambrose is an artist of boundless creativity, skill, intellect and, most importantly, humility. It's been a long time since somebody's playing touched my soul to the extent that his did.
I absolutely love playing and hearing others play at Tangent Cafe. This was taken by Vince Lim during my trio gig for their Young Artists Showcase.
My roommate wittily dubbed this one the 'joyful girl playing piano stock image.'
TD Vancouver Jazz Festival
Here are some recent photos taken of me at the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival by Vince Lim. I played on the Granville Island Public Market Stage as a part of Ben Frost's quartet.
Clinic at Humber College
This was taken during a workshop we (the George Garzone Quartet) were giving at Humber College.
Fraser MacPherson Finals
I usually spend most of my winter break relaxing - except for the day of Fraser MacPherson Scholarship finals - which takes place at the University of British Columbia. The first picture was snapped while I was accompanying trumpeter, Ben Frost in 2015. The second is with a group of friends - a mix of candidates and accompanists - taken in December of 2015.
I was a finalist and winner in 2014/2015! Check it out: http://frasermacphersonjazzfund.ca/scholarship-info/2015-scholarship-winners/
December 2015, 2017
This picture was taken by an audience member after my final recital at Berklee. As you can see, everyone in the band is smiling in this pic because I pizza bribed them beforehand... I bribed the sound engineers too. ;)
Two of my favourite snapshots from our tour, as the George Garzone quartet, in Toronto
Berklee Vocal Jazz Ensemble
The first of these pictures was taken at the Sheraton Hotel in Boston. I'm about to sing with my vocal jazz ensemble at the American Choral Directors Association Conference. The second was taken a day before in Berk Hall at Berklee College of Music, where we attended a pre-performance workshop.
Jazz Performance Award
This picture was taken at David Friend Hall during the Berklee College of Music Performance Division Awards Luncheon. I'm being presented with the Jazz Performance Award by the two piano department chairs.
